Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
The Assembly Technician is responsible for mechanical assembly, metal polishing, laser marking, and general labor tasks that support the production of high-quality components. This role ensures that all parts are assembled to specification, properly labeled, and production ready. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and dependable in a fast-paced environment.
Assembly
- Perform mechanical assembly tasks using hand tools and fixtures.
- Complete work in accordance with traveler instructions and specifications.
- Accurately label components using laser marking equipment.
- Support general production needs, including material handling and preparation.
Quality
- Inspect assemblies and finished components for accuracy and workmanship.
- Record accurate time and count data for tasks completed.
- Report any issues related to parts, tools, or procedures to team leads or supervisors.
Safety & Workplace Organization
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
- Ensure proper care and basic maintenance of tools and equipment.
Required
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow work instructions.
- Willingness to learn and train on the job.
- Basic math knowledge and ability to record accurate production data.
Preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in mechanical assembly.
- 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced job shop environment.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability.
- Ability to perform repetitive mechanical tasks with precision.
- Manual dexterity and coordination for fine assembly work.
- Capability to lift and handle materials up to 40 lbs.
- Standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
